Date: Friday, 18th April 2025
Occasion: Way of the Cross
Led by: The Rt. Rev. Moses Bbanja -Bishop of Namirembe Diocese

On Good Friday 2025, the Christian faithful were greatly blessed as the Rt. Rev. Moses Bbanja took the lead in the solemn Way of the Cross procession. The event, filled with deep spiritual reverence and reflection, drew together believers from all walks of life to meditate on the final hours of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A Deeply Moving Encounter with Christ’s Passion

From the very first station to the last, the Bishop guided the faithful through the powerful narrative of Christ’s suffering and crucifixion. With prayerful insight and pastoral care, he invited all participants to enter into the story of Calvary—not just as observers, but as those personally transformed by the love and sacrifice of the Savior.

Each station became a moment of quiet surrender and heartfelt prayer, reminding all who walked of the enduring grace found in the shadow of the cross.

A Unifying Act of Worship and Reflection

The Way of the Cross offered a sacred opportunity for collective worship, as believers joined together in Scripture readings, hymns, and intercessions. The Bishop’s leadership served as a beacon of hope, encouraging the congregation to bear their own crosses in life with courage, forgiveness, and unwavering faith in Christ.

His message emphasized:

  • The redeeming power of Christ’s suffering.

  • The invitation to a life shaped by humility, love, and obedience.

  • The hope that even in trials, the cross leads us to victory.

Gratitude and Inspiration

We thank God for the opportunity to walk this journey under the guidance of our Diocesan Bishop. His presence and words of encouragement enriched the spiritual experience of many, reviving hearts and pointing souls to the victory won on the cross.

As the Church continues in this holy season, may we all echo the words of the Apostle Paul:

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” – Galatians 2:20

All glory to God, our Redeemer and King.
