Transforming the Future by Investing in Our Children
We give thanks to God for the successful renovation of the Sunday School premises at St. Apollo Kivebulaaya Kansanga Church of Uganda—a milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and moral growth of our children in a conducive and welcoming environment.
🌱 Why the Renovation Was Needed
The Sunday School is more than just a building—it is the spiritual nursery of our church, where children are first introduced to God’s Word, worship, fellowship, and service. Over time, the original facilities had grown worn and limited in space and safety. The renovation project was launched with a clear vision:
-
To create a safer and more engaging space for learning
-
To provide child-friendly classrooms with better lighting and ventilation
-
To integrate Christian learning tools and decor that inspire and educate
🛠️ What Was Done
Thanks to the support of church leaders, members, and well-wishers, the following major improvements were completed:
-
New roofing and ceiling installations to protect against weather damage
-
Repainting of all walls and child-friendly murals illustrating biblical stories
-
Improved flooring and seating designed for children’s comfort
🙌 A Collective Effort
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
-
The church leadership for their vision and oversight
-
The Parents and Guardians who contributed resources and time
-
The Youth and Men’s Fellowship groups who volunteered during the physical work
-
Donors and well-wishers who generously supported the cause financially and spiritually
Your contributions have made it possible to provide a clean, secure, and spiritually enriching environment where our children can grow in the knowledge and fear of the Lord.
👧🏾👦🏽 Shaping the Next Generation
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). This renovation reflects our obedience to this calling—recognizing that children are not just the future of the church; they are the church today.
The newly renovated Sunday School premises will serve as a center for:
-
Sunday classes
-
Bible storytime
-
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
-
Creative arts and music sessions
-
Child-led worship services and more
✝️ Looking Ahead
As we celebrate this achievement, we continue to seek your prayers and partnership for ongoing development. There is still a vision for:
-
Expanding the facility to accommodate growing numbers
-
Installing digital teaching aids for interactive Bible lessons
-
Establishing a dedicated children’s resource library
Let us remain committed to building a strong spiritual foundation for our children—equipping them to be disciples of Christ, now and always.
To God be the Glory!
