On Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the sanctuary of St. Apollo Kivebulaaya Church of Uganda, Kansanga, was filled with joy, music, and heartfelt celebration as Bernard and Syson Kakuru exchanged their wedding vows in a spirit-filled ceremony before family, friends, and the body of Christ.

The holy matrimony was solemnized in a service led by the Rev. Alex Kyobe, the Parish Priest of Kansanga who delivered a powerful charge to the couple, emphasizing the biblical foundation of marriage as a covenant of love, faithfulness, and unity.

The atmosphere was enriched by uplifting praise and worship led by the church choir, alongside beautiful classical and contemporary hymns. The couple’s personal vows stirred emotions and testified to their deep love, shared vision, and trust in God as the center of their union.

Benard and Syson’s journey has been marked by faith, friendship, and service, and their union is a testimony to God’s faithfulness. The wedding reception that followed was a vibrant celebration of culture and Christian fellowship, with joyful dances, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of laughter shared among loved ones.

The entire church community joins in celebrating this sacred beginning. We pray for God’s continued guidance, provision, and grace upon the Kakurus as they embark on this new chapter as husband and wife. May their marriage be a light to others, rooted in faith, overflowing with love, and anchored in Christ.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kakuru!
