Yesterday, the sanctuary of St. Apollo Kivebulaaya Church of Uganda, Kansanga Parish, was overflowing with joy, song, and prayer as believers gathered to celebrate Christian Women’s Day. The event brought together women from across the parish in a vibrant display of faith, unity, and purpose under the theme of empowering women to live out their calling in Christ.

The day’s highlight was the guest preacher, Dr. Primrose Nakazibwe Ssebaggala, whose dynamic sermon left the congregation deeply inspired. Drawing from Scripture, she challenged Christian women to embrace their God-given roles as nurturers, leaders, and pillars of faith both in their families and communities. With passion and clarity, she reminded the Church that women play a vital role in advancing the Kingdom of God.

The service was marked by uplifting worship, heartfelt testimonies, and special presentations from women’s fellowships. Dressed in radiant attire, the women led the liturgy, sang hymns with fervor, and reaffirmed their commitment to serve Christ faithfully. The atmosphere was electric with celebration, yet deeply spiritual, as prayers were lifted for families, the parish, and the nation.

As the celebration concluded, one message stood clear: Christian Women’s Day is not only a moment to honor women but a call to action. The parish was reminded that empowering women in faith translates to stronger homes, stronger communities, and a stronger Church. Indeed, Kansanga Parish witnessed the power and beauty of women standing together in Christ.
