Rev. Daniel Sserumbawo Biography

Rev. Daniel Sserumbawo was born on September 9, 1965, at Mulago Hospital, with his home village in Kyanja, Kyadondo, which is now part of Kampala District. He attended Kalinabiri Secondary School from 1984 to 1988, being part of the school’s pioneer class. After completing his secondary education, he served as a catechist at Magere Church of Uganda.

In 1988, Rev. Sserumbawo joined Nateete Theological College, where he trained from 1988 to 1990. After completing his theological studies, he began his ministry as a Lay Reader at Mpererwe Church of Uganda, where he served for two years. He later pursued further theological training at Namugongo Martyrs Seminary from 1993 to 1995.

In addition to his theological education, Rev. Sserumbawo undertook further studies in various disciplines over the next four years. He eventually joined Ndejje University, where he earned a degree in Secondary Education and a Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.

Rev. Sserumbawo is married to Betty, and together they have been blessed with five children and three grandchildren. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Mulinde, have since passed away, while his wife’s parents, Rev. Mukasa and Sarah Mukasa of Kapeeka, are still alive.

Throughout his ministry, Rev. Sserumbawo has faithfully served in various parishes, building a legacy of devotion and service within the Church.
