Our Story

Rooted in the Gospel. Growing for Generations.

St. Apollo Kivebulaaya Kansanga is named after one of East Africa's pioneering African evangelists, whose faith and missionary zeal lit a path for the Gospel across our region.

From a small community of believers, our parish has grown into a thriving congregation of over a thousand Christians β€” a place where families worship together, the next generation is discipled, and Christ is proclaimed in word and deed.

We remain a Church of Uganda parish under the Province of the Anglican Communion β€” faithful to Scripture, the historic creeds and the Book of Common Prayer.

Rev. Alex Kyobe was born on Sunday, September 27, 1981. He accepted Christ in September 1995 while in Primary Five, marking the start of his spiritual journey. His devotion began earlier in 1992 when he joined the Namirembe Cathedral Choir. He studied Mathematics and Physics, earning a Bachelor of Science with Education from 2004 to 2007. What We Believe

Our Faith in Summary

We believe the Bible β€” Old and New Testaments β€” is the inspired Word of God, supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.
We worship one God, eternally existing in three Persons β€” Father, Son and Holy Spirit β€” as confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds.
Salvation is the gracious gift of God, received by faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour and Lord.
We celebrate the two great sacraments instituted by our Lord β€” Baptism and the Holy Communion β€” as visible signs of God's grace.
We are one parish within the Church of Uganda, part of the global Anglican Communion, sent into the world to make disciples of all nations.
