About Our Parish

Our Story

Named after a pioneering African evangelist

Our parish bears the name of St. Apollo Kivebulaaya — one of East Africa's pioneering African evangelists, whose missionary work spread the Gospel across the region.

Beginning as a modest community of believers, the parish has grown to encompass over a thousand Christians who gather week by week for worship and discipleship.

We are a Church of Uganda parish under the Province of the Anglican Communion — faithful to Scripture, the historic creeds and the Book of Common Prayer.

What We Believe

The Holy Scriptures

The Bible — Old and New Testaments — is the inspired Word of God, supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.

The Holy Trinity

One God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — as confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds.

Salvation in Christ

Salvation is the gracious gift of God, received by faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour and Lord.

The Sacraments

Baptism and Holy Communion are celebrated as visible signs of God's grace at work within His Church.

The Church & Mission

One parish within the Church of Uganda, part of the global Anglican Communion, sent into the world to make disciples of all nations.
